FAQ's

What size do I need? 

Have a look at our size comparison guide to see which scenario best suits your situation. Please remember that the sizes are approximate, so we would always recommend that either you, or your removal company come and view the unit first.

What are your opening hours? 

The storage reception is open Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm. You do however, have 24-7 access to your unit.

Where are you? 

We have Self-Storage facilities in Portland, Dorset and Brawdy, Pembrokeshire. If you’re coming to see us at Portland, follow the signs for Southwell Park, once you enter the park follow the signs for the Estate Office. Brawdy appointments are by prior arrangement, please call the office to enquire.

How much does a unit cost? 

It depends on the size and how long you need it. You can use our price guide above, or call the office to find out what discounts our long-term customers benefit from.

What can I store? 

Its easier to tell you want you can’t store! If you go to the restrictions section, you will find a list of things we ask you not to take into a unit.

Do you offer a removal service? 

Currently, this isn’t something that is available. We can recommend local partners though, so call us and ask about them.

How often can I access my unit? 

You have access to your unit 24-7. However, if you come up in the middle of the night, you might bump into our security patrol team.

How long can I store my belongings? 

Our minimum term is one month; however, we understand that moving home is stressful enough and we will try to be as accommodating and flexible as possible. There is no maximum term.

How do I pay? 

We recommend that our long-term customers set up a standing order with their bank, its quicker and easier for everyone. You can also pay by debit or credit card, in person or over the phone. We do like to see our lovely customers though, so feel free to pop in for a chat and give us some cash at the same time!

Is it safe? 

Yes, very! Both our sites are located on ex-MOD sites which still benefit from high perimeter fencing. Not to mention the top of the range CCTV, which can be monitored 24 hours a day. Our dual point entry system comprises of an electronic key fob access, plus two solid padlocks on each unit. We also have a night-time security patrol team.

 

Any hidden extras? 

Nope. What you see is what you get. We can recommend a company to insure your items, and you can buy things from our shop, but we wont charge you any more that what we have quoted.

 

Do you provide insurance? 

Insurance is not something we offer to our customers directly, but we do recommend Insurastore to provide extra peace of mind.

 

Do you sell boxes and tape? 

We do. We have two sizes of box, and two types of tape. Our new on-site shop will stock boxes, tape, bubble wrap, cable ties and marker pens, plus water and sweet treats for an extra energy boost!

Your units are a bit big, have you got anything smaller? 

We have recently launched a brand-new storage concept, which we are calling ‘Shelf Storage’. It’s designed for people who may only have a small amount to store, such as Christmas decorations, camping equipment and cushions from caravans and garden furniture. You bring us your items in clearly labelled boxes or bags and we then allocate them with a location reference. We give you a receipt and you walk away, we even put them away for you. You then call us, give us your location reference and when you would like them and then we get them out for you, It’s really that easy, and all for £10 per month!!
